We build with the most highly-resonant woods available, like rosewood, wenge, spruce and western red cedar. If youʼre not sure what you want, weʼll gladly walk you through the process of choosing the right woods for your guitar. Occasionally a client will request we custom-source a specific tonewood and we can do that, but we do prefer to build with wood that has acclimated to our shop for as long as possible.

Each guitar is built with patience, precision, and intention. Our goal is simple: to create instruments that outlast us, that inspire, and that remain accessible to those who value the work behind them. We build no more than two each week, returning several times after assembly to listen—to refine the tone and playability before sending it to its new home. Most of our players care for their guitars much as we do, with the intention that they’ll be passed down for future generations to enjoy.

At our current pace, most instruments are ready for delivery about six months after the design is finalized. Occasionally we receive more orders than we can complete on that timeline; when that happens we may pause new commissions until we can give every player the time and focus they deserve.
